Bigfoot Forest Campground Rules Rules and more Rules…Ugh!

Rules Rules and more Rules…Ugh!

To ensure you and the Bigfoots who reside here, have a safe, positive experience, here are a few (okay, more than a few) simple rules to follow.

First and foremost – Have Fun!

Booking & Arrival

Check-In is 3:00 PM CST
Check-Out Time is Noon CST
When you arrive and after your stay, text your name and campsite number to Annette at 262-993-1159.

Speed Limit and Parking

The speed limit throughout the campground is 5 MPH. Keep vehicles, wagons etc in your campsite area. Bigfoot Forest Campgroud is a micro campground with only one small gravel road it’s not conducive to bicycling.

3 night minimum on weekends

Camping takes a lot of preparation, so relax and stay a while! All campsites have a 3 night minimum for weekend camping.

Cancellation Policy

Because the camping season in Wisconsin is soooooo short, and Bigfoot Forest Campground is a micro campground, every night at every site matters. All reservations are considered final at the time of booking and are non-refundable.

Site Use and capacity

Each reservation included 1 camping unit (RV or tent) and 1 vehicle, 2 adults and 2 children. See additional fees below if you need extra accommodations.  If a Bigfoot should wander onto your site, no worries, there is no extra charge!

Additional Fees:

Additional tents: $30.00 per night

Additional Vehicles: $5 per vehicle, per night

Additional Adults  $10.00 per night

Additional Children $5.00 per night

Pets

Pets are welcome and must be kept leashed and supervised at all times, because, hey, you never know what “that other dog” is gonna do!

Pet waste must be picked up (not just flicked into the woods) promptly in all areas of the property, including campground, forest trails and sand pit area.

2 dogs maximum are permitted per site.

Barking dogs that create an annoyance for other campers will be asked to leave. If your dog is a barker, please, for the courtesy of other campers, make other arrangements for your pet.

Fires and firewood

Firewood is available for sale at the campground for your convenience. Fires are allowed in fire rings only. Don’t leave fires unattended, and put out all fires before leaving. Don’t burn trash, plastic, glass, cans or other items.

Exercise extra caution at times of elevated fire danger when burning a campfire or camp stove. A map of the current fire conditions can be found on the DNR WisBurn website.

SOS! – Save our Septic!

Please flush only toilet paper and what nature provides in your camper toilet. No feminine products etc. Even “flushable wipes” are NOT flushable and will damage the campground septic system.

Visitors

Overnight camping for paying guests only. 2 visitors are allowed per campsite per day and may stay until 10pm.

Smoking

Please don’t throw cigarette butts on the ground. Please extinguish them completely and dispose of them properly. The shelter is a smoke free area, so don’t smoke in the shelter. Please don’t throw cigarette butts in the forest. It’s a forest, so fire prevention is of the utmost importance to the property, our Bigfoots, and other wildlife ~Thank you 🙂

Shelter use

The shelter has items for the enjoyment of all camping guests – like you!
What you find in the shelter, stays in the shelter, unless it’s an outdoor game, which must be returned to the shelter after playing. Take personal items with you when you leave the shelter.

Let’s Play!

The stainless steel cart in the shelter called the “Skitchen” has games that you may enjoy playing. Please play the indoor games (cards etc) in the shelter. Please return outdoor games to the shelter after use. It is okay, and encouraged, to play Bigfoot Forest Campground outdoor games in the yard outside the shelter near Campsite 7. Our friends have a seasonal site there and they may want to play with you!

Hiking the land and release of liability

Bigfoot Forest Campground has 32 acres including the campground area, with about a mile of cleared trail. Hike at your own risk.

There are hidden tree stumps and lots of tripping hazards out there, even on the cleared trail, so watch your step if you do hike.

Bigfoot Forest Campground is not responsible for injuries or other losses to property or persons for any reason, anywhere on the property.

Group fire ring

A great way to get to know your fellow campers is to start a fire in the group fire ring located by the shelter.  There is no charge for firewood used in this firepit, so enjoy and join in if you see a fire already started there.

Quiet Hours

Bigfoots need their rest too, so quiet hours are from 11 PM to 8:00 AM. Quiet means keeping music and conversation at a level that is soft enough to be contained within your campsite.

Courteous Camping – We know you know this, but we gotta say it anyway

Don’t cut through other campsites, remove items, or park on neighboring sites.

Help us out and keep it clean 🙂  Your campsite should be free from all trash and pet waste at the end of your stay. Please don’t leave any items big or small behind.

Bigfoot Forest Campground reserves the right to evict campers conducting themselves in a manner that is unsafe, loud, discourteous to other campers or the property, so make your mother happy and behave nice!
